Samvel Bleyan, DDS
Surgical implantology/prosthodontist.
Dr. Bleyan has extensive oral surgery and prosthodontist training with more than 27 years of practical experience. His practice emphasis is on esthetic implant dentistry rehabilitation.
He received his dental honors degree in 1990 at the Yerevan State Medical Institute and from 1990-1992 completed his Residency in prosthodontics at the Yerevan State Medical Institute with honors.  In 1995, he received his MBA degree at the American University of Armenia. Dr Bleyan has been running his private practice including, but not limited to implant dentistry and prosthetic rehabilitation in Moscow, since 1997.
He is Internationally known for his hands-on trainings and research interest in implant total site optimization and socket preservation as well as immediate implant placement.

Course Title: Creating Ideal Soft Tissue Around Implants

Soft tissue is one of the most important aspects of implant therapy. It not only creates a functional barrier against the bacterial challenges and protects the bone from resorption but it is also a critical part of successful aesthetic treatment. Treatment planning should also include soft tissue manipulation from the very first incision so that ideal soft tissue can be achieved in a predictable manner. In dealing with the issue of soft tissue at the start, you will reduce the need for corrective surgery at a later stage and improve your success rate and your patients’ acceptance. This lecture will go through a number of techniques in order to maximize the soft tissue results for both functional and aesthetic cases. Course Title: Atrophic Ridge Management: Lecture Only

Course Description (one-day lecture. Course fees: $899):

The maxillary and mandibular edentulous region presents a challenging condition for dental implant placement. Alveolar bone resorption and increased pneumatization of the sinus cavity reduce the amount of alveolar bone necessary to maintain a predictable implant-supported prosthesis. This problem can be overcome by  GBR procedures  maintaining the horizontal ridge dimensions or grafting the maxillary sinus floor which provides a sufficient quantity of bone for the placement of endosseal dental implants to support a prosthetic reconstruction.
This lecture will discuss the advantages and utilization of osseodensification for both ridge expansion and sinus augmentation enabling the clinician to do a minimally invasive approach.
“Outside the box” approach digital planning and use of autologous growth factors will be featured as well as follow up of 5 years for these cases.

Course Title: Autologous Biomaterials & Growth Factors

This course is designed for doctors who are interested in enhancing their bone grafting and implant techniques with Leukocyte- and Platelet-Rich Fibrin (L-PRF), autologous biomaterials and growth factors.
Every implant and biomaterial we use to treat our patients challenge human biology. Every step we move forward to reach the perfect combination that will match human biology in a better way improves the results and long term predictability of our implants and grafts procedures. All research show us that the more we move to use autologous and nature based  biomaterials me are getting more successful results.
The synergy of using autologous products and biomimetic implant surfaces has proven to make osseointegration more reliable and predictable, bringing at the same time the possibility of doing minimally invasive approaches with greatest benefits to our patients by shorten the number of procedures, the healing time and reducing the cost significantly.
We are concluding after more than 15 years of research that using the right combination of bio-activators and bio-materials we increase the success rate of osseointegration and tissue regeneration even in the most extreme challenging cases. In this way we are transforming tissue repair into truly tissue regeneration.
Shaping of the biologic response, utilizing autologous growth factors, and new implant architectures gives us the capacity to achieve exquisite clinical outcomes in oral implantology.
This workshop with hands-on utilizing 3D models from a real case, focus on blood draw and  ridge preservation, provides the skill set to harvest autologous growth factors and to utilize them in new surgical procedures to achieve “Natural Guided Regeneration”. “What we thought impossible yesterday, could be routine tomorrow.“

Course Title: SPoT/PET Protocols: The Synergy of Partial Extraction Therapy with Osseodensification

Course Description (one-day hands-on course. Course fees: $1750):

Tooth extraction leads to loss of bundle bone and soft tissue. This is a possible limitation for immediate or delayed implant placement. As a result, it is often necessary to perform extensive augmentation procedures to facilitate implant placement. Partial Extraction Therapy preserves bundle bone and soft tissue while Osseodensification may improve primary implant stability through preservation of and autografting of trabecular bone.
This presentation outlines the biological rational and benefits of tissue preservation to optimize oral reconstruction with dental implants. S.P.O.T is a comprehensive treatment methodologies based upon preservation of nature. The objective is to emphasize how the use of innovative diagnostics, surgical techniques, and instrumentation can preserve or enhance treatment outcomes.

The SPOT treatment modalities:

  • OSSEODENSIFICATION
  • PARTIAL EXTRACTION THERAPIES (Socket Shield/ Root Membrane techniques, Pontic shield and Root submergence)
  • ORTHODONTIC EXTRUSION

Clinical cases demonstrating SPOT treatment modalities in various ways and combinations to achieve both minimally invasive and time effective solutions will be presented. Past, present and future “out of the box” protocols will also be shared.
The purpose of this program will be to enhance clinical understanding  of SPOT diagnostics and treatment  planning necessary to implement Partial Extraction Therapy and Osseodensification into everyday practice.

Course Title: Immediate Dentoalveolar Restoration

The Immediate Dentoalveolar Restoration (IDR) is a surgical and prosthetic technique established to broaden indications for immediate loading on individual or several compromised teeth. In this way, tissue losses with varied extensions are reconstructed in the same surgical session of implant placement and provisional crown installation, reducing the number of interventions and making esthetic aspects predictable. The IDR protocol was developed from the need to minimize the treatment time and morbidity of reconstructive procedures used in these instances. It advocates minimally invasive surgery and flapless procedures. In the course, we will discuss the scientific basis, the step-by-step technique, indications and bone biology.

  1. Immediate loading in intact sockets
  2. Immediate loading in non-intact sockets (IDR II)
  3. Considerations about the relationship between the thickness of buccal bone wall and ideal positioning of the implant

Course Title: Partial Extraction Therapy (PET)

The loss of teeth will lead to resorbtion of the buccal plate with its resultant need for extensive augmentative procedures (both bone and soft tissue) as well as the risk of poor long term aesthetic stability. Partial Extraction Therapies (PET) are techniques that allow us to maintain the buccal bone plate and hence prevent the collapse of the alveolar bone creating a platform for ideal soft tissue and bone which is stable in the long term. This is a greater problem in the aesthetic areas. Course Title: Full Arch Rehabilitation with Same Day Restoration

Less Invasive Immediate Full-Arch Rehabilitation with the use of Osseodensification and site-specific implants. Optimized Protocols for Less Invasive, Accelerated Implant Therapy.
This course will provide practical guidelines for a state-of-the-art approach to rehabilitating the full arch. The ability to offer accelerated therapy with less-invasive implant techniques like Osseodensification, facilitates patient recruitment and long-term outcome sustainability. Innovations in dental implant therapy are providing optimal outcomes for full arch rehabilitation with Site Specific Implants. This program will address how innovative implant designs are used in post extraction sockets and with Immediate Loading to maximize bone and maintain soft tissue.
